It also provides a non-stick surface that not only reduces the number of cleaning cycles required during the paste printing process but also improves paste transfer efficiency for very small openings.

Smart SMT Tools has leveraged its chemistry knowledge to develop unique nano coatings that improve various steps in the PCB Assembly process. Our coatings can be used on stencils to improve print transfer efficiency, minimize bridging and other defects, improve cleaning efficiency and much more.

Our nano coating stencils go through a complete manufacturing process that happens in house: Data processing → data inspection and confirmation → laser cutting → deburring treatment → electropolishing treatment → plasma cleaning → nano coating → sealing → final inspection → packaging. Every step is guaranteed by our in-house quality control department.

In the SMT process, the stencil opening design must follow IPC-7525. The pad area/hole wall area >0.55, which is based on the coefficient of friction of the steel mesh wall. On the basis of the ultra-smooth coating on the surface, the friction coefficient of the surface is 0.03-0.06, which is better than the surface friction coefficient of the existing steel mesh by nearly 10 times. It allows the solder paste to break off the steel mesh easily, making it possible to have same sheet thickness and finer holes, to ensure amount of tin and better release effect.

We leverage a completely invented craftsmanship to coat the back of the stencil and the wall of the stencil. This coating is made in a special way, with strong adhesion, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, and food-grade substances. The thickness of the deposited coating is nanometer, which has no effect on the opening size of the stencil itself.
